It’s now over a year since our first shock lock down, so understandably many of us are really excited to hopefully this month see the controlled reopening of hospitality, retail, hair and beauty, leisure and the arts. I am really looking forward to big hugs with my nearest and dearest that I don’t live with, and then probably a nice meal with family and friends after a rejuvenating trip to the hairdressers and beauty salon!
We are indeed now on the countdown. Do you remember me saying it takes 3 months to create a habit? Well, that’s how long we have until 21 June 2021, the date Boris Johnson says he is “very optimistic” all restrictions on normal life in England will end. You will no doubt be somewhere on the scale of feeling confident and excited to apprehensive and self-doubting. So, if there is anything you want to change to improve your health, wellbeing and mindfulness in preparation for 21 June now is the time to set goals to make your change in behaviour an embedded habit. Remember goals need to be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timebound. My goals to make habits before 21 June are the daily focuses to help me keep on track: Monday motivation (goal setting and lists!), Tuesday Tunes (feel good music from my youth), Workout Wednesday (aiming to walk 2+ miles every day), Thirsty Thursday (2l of water every day), Fish Friday (salmon and tuna every week!), Social Saturday (catch up with family and friends), Self-care Sunday (family roast and a relaxing bath!). I’m also setting goals to build up to 10 salad and veg a day as part of my routine. If you squeeze in a salad such as this, you secure 7 in the one meal. Eat the rainbow – delicious and ahead of plan is how I describe this plate!
There are often forces which make the best laid plans go adrift, and for various reasons you may be needing a little extra help from the experts. If you couple some of the proven health and anti-ageing technologies with a qualified, experienced, skilled, and motivating specialist you can look forward to accelerating face, body and mind transformations. There are non-invasive technologies that can really boost results for both the face and body. I will focus on a body transformation technology next time, and this edition will focus on the non-invasive facial transformation that Judy Murray recently showcased in the press. I have been asked several times now if Judy’s before and after pictures have been photo shopped. Personally, I think they are a fair reflection of the results that can be achieved with such non-invasive treatments.
This before and after treatment of Judy speaks for itself – the colour, texture, and firmness of the skin are all significantly improved, and fine lines and wrinkles have diminished certainly turning the clock back for Judy. I asked the very knowledgeable and experienced facial specialist Kate Grimes, co owner at Bespoke Beauty in Kidderminster to explain the treatments Judy had undergone to achieve such great results.
“Judy’s complexion has been transformed by a combination of a good skin care routine and a course of facials using two non-invasive technologies: radio frequency and microneedling.
Radio frequency is a skin tightening treatment that softens fine lines while firming the facial contours both immediately and over time leaving the jawline looking especially taught and fresh. In our late 20s our collagen production starts to decline due to both internal and external factors. With this treatment we can stimulate fibroblast and cellular repair which is responsible for collagen renewal.
You’ll experience a gentle warming sensation on the skin which many clients find relaxing. Ideal for those on-the-go clients as it can be squeezed into your lunch break.
You will see improved results with each additional treatment and the results will continue to improve for up to four months as the skin produces new collagen.
Micro needling is a proven non-invasive treatment method for skin resurfacing, anti-ageing, skin tightening hydration and restoration. It involves making micro perforations in the skin which kickstart the skins natural repair mechanism, giving the skin a better structure, finer pores and helps improve firmness, and elasticity giving a more youthful appearance. At Bespoke Beauty we use a double active function where we topically apply active ingredients in the layers of the skin where they can be most active giving immediate results. Microneedling is a 100 percent natural method, with no anaesthesia required.
These treatments result in no downtime and results can be maintained with a treatment once every 3 months.
We offer these treatments separately, combined, and as a course.
At Bespoke Beauty facials are our passion. After a detailed consultation we tailor make a bespoke treatment plan to suit each individual client. We are fortunate to have a number of technologies available from which to tailor an individual’s plan: radio frequency, microneedling, micro current, LED light therapy, oxygen, peels, and hydrating masks to name a few. The results are always impressive but nothing beats the positive impact such changes have on a client’s confidence and their general zest for life. It’s a pleasure to share in such transformational journeys knowing how much it means to someone.”
Next month we will look into body transformations with HYPOXI, but if you are like me and thinking what hopefully 21 June will bring remember you have long enough to work on goals to make them a habit if you start now.
